Delete a LocalLoop account

A signed-in user can request deletion in the app. The flow removes LocalLoop state from the device and sends an authenticated deletion request to the hosted account service.

Delete in the app

  1. Open Profile or Account.
  2. Open Account & privacy.
  3. Tap Delete account & local data.
  4. Confirm Delete account & data.

Deletion is blocked while an acceptance is pending or a trip is active. Complete or cancel the trip, then retry. Uninstalling the app alone does not send a hosted account-deletion request.

What happens immediately

The app removes its saved session, jobs, ratings, messages, earnings ledger, audit events, order state, service area, legal acceptance, retained location state, and local notifications from the device. The hosted service disables the account, revokes its sessions, cancels eligible unmatched requests, removes live driver presence, service areas, vehicle and driver-requirement records, and provider identifiers, and erases or redacts eligible precise coordinates, addresses, order text, authored messages, ratings, substitutions, and cached request payloads.

The service returns a deletion receipt with the request time, immediate-erasure time, expected pseudonymization time, and disclosed retention categories.

Up to 30 days

The hosted service may retain the account email, identity-provider subject, and display name for up to 30 days for payment-dispute and safety handling. Scheduled processing then replaces that identity with a pseudonymous deleted-user record and redacts safety descriptions and cancellation reasons authored by the deleted account.

Legally required retention

Financial amounts, trip state, consent versions, and structured safety records may remain against a pseudonymous account identifier when legally required for tax, audit, payment dispute, fraud, insurance, safety, or another legal obligation. These retained records do not include live driver presence, precise quote coordinates, addresses, order text, authored messages, rating notes, safety descriptions, or cancellation reasons from the deleted account, and they cannot be used to restore marketplace access.
